Love it.

The hate starts therein...

And you wonder why it hovers on 9 member.

It takes members like me to fuel it.

Where is Kerb etc anyway...

Oh do shut up. Just because you will never earn a decent wedge and be able to afford nice things doesn't mean that those who do work hard for a living shouldn't.

Out of the loop.

As much as we would love to spend on brand new items, why the fuck would I spend a £800 - £1k on a pram?? That is just ridiculous, especially if you earn under £100k a year!! IMO anyway

Our friend has given us this for FREE, so a saving of £500-£800 and its pretty much brand new.

The baby aint going to remember and to be honest, we are opening up a savings account for our baby girl and everythign we are able to save on, is going into her savings acocunt. I think that is a much better way to spend the money as you never know what is going to happen later on in life. I might die early and then Penny is fucked as I earn most of the dough so just being realistic as possible.

Cot, I deal in furniture so getitng that for next to nothing and will be badass. Havent decided yet but probably somethign like this which I will pay £150, not £800 Big grin

Baby clothes - yes, we are buying a lot new and have already received shit loads form friends ( before Penny has even had the baby shower) but her brother has had a baby girl and they have shit loads of clothes for us as she will be ayear older than ours.

Point is, in our family, we would rather spend the money elsewhere but appreciate some poeple like to go all out on their first. We arent and I dont see anything wrong with that.

Yes, it does take people like you to fuel hate. Funny that.

Also funny is when you claim to be victimised but are spouting utter shit and flinging insults around or being inflammatory. Wink

Makes complete sense in my book.

Whilst it is nice to go out and spend a few £££ on new clothes we also got given loads of stuff from friends who had had babies before ours came along.
Thing is, because the sproggs grow so bloody quickly most of the clothes we were given hadn't even had a chance to be worn, or were only worn a couple of times.

We also passed ours on to friends who were expecting or just hatched once Lucy had grown out of them.

It's why, magnets like me, and theres plenty of them, don't post. It's because it's settles on 8 to 9 posters a day. You've made it unfun. Go you.

Exactly, before you know it, 0-3 months is out, and its 3-6 months, then 6-9 and so forth and the existing clothes are still brand new. Luckily baby S arrives in May so the first 6 months will be summer months so no need for tonnes of clothes.

Wherever we can save, that money will go into Baby S's saving fund/bank account Smile

You don't post because you get banned because you just don't know when to step away, even when warned.

And then you come back, try and turn it into some victim mentality, have another dig at the site and its users, then wonder why we "turn" so quickly. It's called a response thing. Perhaps if you weren't so inflammatory, you would find us being a little less acerbic in your direction?
