March 2005 Trance Chart
(1.) Starlet & Anthony Dean: ‘In A Trance’ – CDR The best vocal track I’ve heard since Love Resurrection. Lizzie tore the roof off with this at Boundless on Friday.
(2.) Sly One: ‘House Of Music’ – CDR Sly’s amazing follow-up to Gamma Storm has an even bigger and more powerful sound – shades of the incredible Gravitational Wave in there as well.
(3.) O’Callaghan vs Kearney: ‘Restricted Motion’ – Discover Third consecutive month in my chart for this jaw-dropping slice of hi-octane futuristic trance.
(4.) Pulser: ‘Cloudwalking’ (2005 remix) – Trance Communications Most classic tracks should never be remixed but this one bucks the trend. Plenty of bounce, very uplifting and I’m loving the little countermelody near the start.
(5.) Thomas Datt: ‘Alone’ (Inertia remix) – Discover Is John O’Callaghan capable of producing a bad track? I would suggest not: this one’s another stormer, this time with a nice fluffy, feelgood edge.
(6.) Skylab 9: ‘Naked In The Rain’ (club mix) – Kickin A slightly cheesy rework of the Blue Pearl anthem but with some serious bass end. Those old enough to remember the original can’t help but sing along to the vocal!
(7.) XLR Project: ‘Ending The War’ – High Fish A case of mistaken identity when I originally bought it but I’ve grown to love this hard-edged peak-time banger. Like the spoken word vox in the background.
(8.) The Edison Factor: ‘Dance With The Devil’ – EdisonFactor.net You always know what you’re going to get with the Edison Factor: tons of bounce, tons of energy and everything which makes a dancefloor move. Latest in the series of great tracks from Williams and Lawson.
(9.) Faraway Project: ‘Radiate’ (Faraway January remake) – Afterglow Another producer who just seems to turn out quality material each time. The production on this one is second to none.
(10.) Beyond Unreal: ‘ Rhythm’ – Dedicated Deeper and techier than everything else in this chart but never fails to get the crowd moving – or me moving when I’m playing it! ;-)
