It is the same old square pegs in round holes situation that we always find ourselves in. The manager has a style he wants to play, he also has a list of his star players that he must pick. He then has to shoehorn those players into the system.
What should happen is the best players for each role should be picked regardless of them playing for one of the traditional big clubs or them being seen by the media as one of the star players.
Does anybody imagine that the Leicester starting 11 are the best 11 players in the Premier League?

You're right, it is the same old story. But nevertheless I do feel quite enthused and think that we can make the shoehorned squad players work.
I'm sure I'll have that thought kicked out of me after another demostration of dazzling mediocrity tomorrow night, but I'm going to keep the faith until that happens. It is also a bit worrying that we don't (as ever) seem to have our 'system' worked out yet.
Based on the bold part above, are there any glaring omissions from the squad that you feel should be there?
Suffering from a small case of mood poisoning, must be something I hate.
