Omar Sherif & Jonathan Carvajal

» Helia

Label: Future Sound Of Egypt
Format: Digital
Genre: Trance

On FSOE, we have the latest from Omar Sherif & Jonathan Carvajal in the form of “Helia”. Crystal Blakk chips in with an ethereal vocal line too. For those who know the FSOE sound, uplifting trance bizniz is the order of the day here; filled with Aly & Fila-like vibes and Egyptian magic.

Only one mix on show here and it’s the Original Mix. Usually, I lament the lack of remixes on single tracks but here, I’m gonna make an exception and say it doesn’t need any. I’m sure we will get a remix package at some stage, possibly with a newly-charged Omar Sherif remix? Who knows but for now…

The typical blend of powerful trance and epic builds lead the way here; with Omar’s adeptness of crafting a powerful bass-line and Jonathan’s epic rhythms and beat sections along with Crystal Blakk’s etherealness adding perfectly to proceedings. All in all, I think this is a solid enough package. It’s a good length too. As for remixes? It doesn’t need them.
