» Nothing Here But Goodbye (Remixes)

Label: Raz Nitzan Music
Format: Digital
Genre: Trance

Let me point just one thing out before we start. Trance is very much alive and well. Amidst all the commercial EDM dirge that we're exposed to now on the likes of Radio 1, its good to know that some labels are keeping the trance scene alive. And by trance, I mean uplifting, full-on, stuff. Check out Unearthed, Always Alive, Pharmacy Music, the Recoverworld family of labels and others to see what I mean. Anyway...

Radion6 teams up with Neev Kennedy for a 2016 upgrade of Nothing Here But Goodbye which includes remixes from Matt Bukovski and Ron Alperin. The remix by Matt Bukovski starts us off with an uplifting pounder. Neev's vocals come shining through, much as they did on Max Graham's superb "Sun In The Winter" a few years back. Wonderful vocals. Very silky smooth. Lovely stuff, man.

The remix is rugged and quite well structured with a powerful beat section and pulsing rhythmic bass-line. One for the heads, I think. Ron Alperin drops a more prog-induced rerub; which still retains the uplifting vibe but slightly toned back to give it its own feel and structure. Saying that though, its very well formed and is a good length too at just over 7 minutes.

My pick of the bunch, of the two, is the Matt Bukovski remix. Smile
