Claire's Accessories, apparently. High Street retail in the UK looks grimmer by the week; people like Kerb are killing it. Tough shit I guess, if you're too slow to adapt.

Snooze and you lose. Times change and companies must either adapt or go under.

The one problem with retailers closing is what becomes of our High Streets. A lot of restaurants and bars have sprung up in my local High Street, we also have more than our fair share or hairdressers, nail salons etc.
We are quite lucky as many other town centres are more like ghost towns with lots of boarded up shops intermingled with charity shops.

I've got chickens in my back yard

If this were a PREDICTIONS thread then I'd be adding WH Smith onto the 'not long to go' list.

Suffering from a small case of mood poisoning, must be something I hate.

Good call, there's been an air of disorganisation and desperation around them for a while.

I'd also add HMV, Thornton's and House of Fraser.

It's a shame really but Inside a branch looks like walking into the branch in the 1990s, nothing has changed - much less some of the stock on the shelves.

I can't see it surviving in its current form for long - except in train stations/airports etc where it has smaller branches which have most of what people want at that time and expect to pay inflated prices.

I thought HMV had already gone!?!?!

WH Smith is going nowhere, due to them incorporating many high street branches of the Post Office.
