Label: VERSE (Equinox)
Format: Digital
Genre: Trance / Ambient

Pakistan's VERSE label is a bit of Abora; symphonic trance mixed with chillout vibes. If you didn't already know. Anyway, here's InnerSync's "Forest Gathering". The first three tracks are trance music but the final three are truly unique because they all go beyond 10 minutes each and are beatless.

Although the trance tracks are rather special in themselves, especially the opener, "Forest Gathering", which goes beyond 10 minutes, it is the final three tracks of the EP that grabbed my ears. To say these tracks are mindbending would probably do them a bit of injustice but they are, well, epic and beautiful. As a trance guy, the first three tracks are pretty cool and airy with InnerSync's attention to detail shining through.

Light Emitter is 15 minutes long and is suited for meditation. It is beatless and moves at a leisurely pace. A calming serenity persists throughout. Ethereal Waves is 23 minutes long and follows a similar path; beatless and leisurely. The final track, Glimpse Of Infinity closes the EP and is 24 minutes long. This really does show InnerSync's peaceful vibe and focuses on the artist's ambient side, moving away from the classic trance sound.

A lovely EP from start to finish. Six flavours to choose from. Take your pick.
