I'm willing to admit It is entirely possible it is may be having some form of a rennaisance compared to where it has been for a few years but it certainly isn't the biggest show in town like it used to be.

I cant see any scene being as lively as HH was 1999-2005/06. Those were great years. Fridge, Mass and Brixton Academy all rammed to the rafters on the same night playing similar hard dance.

Really?

Techno is massive right now. Every big event seems to be a sell out and there can be day parties followed by night parties.
I'd even argue that Techno and House are bigger now than HH ever was.

And even if no other hd tracks were ever made again... if the old music is only listened to at home by folk, it's still not dead.

It's alive, in folks homes.

What was the insult?

Bioshokk and Twist are two that spring to mind. Riot has started doing reunions again, the is a big event in Vauxhall at the end of April that is focusing on harder music. Might even be called, We Like It Hard. A party in Southend called Re:Form is doing very well for itself and looking at doing parties in Town.
Andy Farley and BK both have separate 6+ hour sets coming up at XOYO. Andy Farley also regularly does 10-12 hour sets.
I'm not even really trying either. If I was to make an effort to go through FB I could find more and there is some big stuff coming up further north. Rob Tissera has a big event upcoming.

Bioshokk I'll give you, i should have thought of that but twist? east bloc is hardly huge. TBF I haven't been to twist in years so it could be banged out every week though. The last time I was at frantic it was half empty, Timeless was busy as hell but the audio was appaling, actually painful. BK is in september and Andy farley gig is in november so quite far away, although those do look interesting as it would be something different.

As i said it may be having some form of a rennaisance compared to where it was and if there is the market for it good, nothing wrong with a bit of variety but it isn't the dominant force on the scene that it used to be and probably won't be again.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those that could not hear the music -Nietzsche

I agree. But I still think your description of the state of the scene is well off the mark.

I'm still interested to find out what insult I used.

Well this is just fantastic I do love a good debate I must say I was looking on Beatport earlier and I did find one of two new tracks that are ready to be pre sold by people like Ben Stevens on vicious circle they're still making hard dance music so I suppose my question is a little bit mute really but it's good to know the frantic is still going even though it is half full and timeless always used to be a really good night but what is populating the airwaves on the radio I've heard it all this EDM aka hardstyle crap basically. Although some of you might still like hardstyle and I don't mean to offend anybody I just don't think it's a great sound and I'm entitled to my opinion

Is hard dance really dead,,,,, oh has it just lost its way show all that European trash that they call EDM Bangs Head Thumbs Down
