Greg Downey began DJing over 5 years ago and in this time has established himself firmly among the best young DJs in the UK. Born in Belfast - Ireland, Greg developed a taste for tougher electronic dance music from a young age, which is reflected in his style which combines techno with underground and uplifting trance.

Greg’s first big break came when he was spotted DJing at an after club in Ibiza in 2000 by the Gatecrasher Ibiza promoter. He was immediately asked to play for them at the legendary Space club. From there things went from strength. Greg won the prestigious DJ competition held by superclub Eden and went on to play for Euphoria and Tonic at Eden, Sundissential, Storm and the massive MTV Medonism Festival. The result was a featured article in Mixmag highlighting Greg as one of the hottest young DJs around.

Back in Ireland more success followed with Greg winning Ireland’s BBM Magazine DJ Competition. This led onto bookings at some of the biggest clubs there, including The Coach and The Network and Greg then recieved a full-page feature in The Sunday Life, Ireland’s biggest newspaper.

Having established a strong following in his home country, Greg has made the short overseas trip to England, where he is now based. He is currently resident at the well respected Scream events in Bristol and is enjoying a busy schedule at nights accross the UK including Wildchild and The Dance Academy.

Greg has also been showcasing his sound on various European Radio stations and his sets on DI.FM, Trance Airwaves and Pure DJ have been recieving fantastic reviews from clubbers and promotors Worldwide.

Greg is now busy in the studio putting together his debut tracks and he will be showcasing them over the coming months so watch this space....

At only 22 years of age, these achievements combined with his outstanding technical ability and desire to succeed make Greg a hot insider’s tip for future success.
