I have been going to LWE events since more or less they started promoting Psy Trance events. Not sure what crowd to expect for this event I thought it might be a Cocoon type crowd as Loco Dice was on the bill.Anyway I got it wrong as it was a young essexy crowd, this event was absolutely packed which was its undoing. At 6.30 the main room was like sardines so if you went to see the headliners it wasn't much fun, also they had re arranged the room from previous events and you were facing a different way, this was a bit of a disaster as gangs of clubbers were pushing past you all the time. They also seemed to have cut down on the production in this room.I decided to leave or one of the other rooms, the car park, where Fuse were hosting was also pretty crowded and it was like dancing in a sauna. The other room was better it was a bit cold at first but warmed up as it began to fill up and they were playing some good acid type house in here.It was impossible to get back into the main room if you left and there were long queues.
London clubbing is the busiest its been for a long time and its rare to find an event that is not crowded and there is a huge choice of young and old clubbing.Whether you like it or not Brexit has put an end to the rapid closure of clubs that was going on previously and there is now a fair choice between 338,E1 studios,Printworks,Tobacco Dock,MOS,Fabric and man small clubs.
