Hi Ben. Thanks for taking the time to do this interview! How are you?

Very well thank you.

Ben, give us an introduction to the Nu Communicate Recordings project.

Well, there's lots happening with Nu Communicate as I set up for 2013 with some amazing releases in the pipeline. I have expanded my brand now taking on label Manager Rich Smith who is a breath of fresh air bursting with enthusiasm. I recently set up NUCR DiGITAl which Rich Smith now has full control as he continues to search for up and coming producers trying to burst onto the scene.

As a brand we continue to grow and support Nu up and coming talent. See www.nucommunicaterecordings.com for details.

Your new EP 'Never be broken' has been just released, can you tell more about this release?

Sure, this was an EP with a lot of thought into it. Over the past year it’s been one hell of an emotional roller coaster and as always I try and show my emotion and passion within my productions. The title of the EP represents that no matter how much situations and life circumstances can affect you . . . well, the name speaks for itself. What artist(s) do you think are on the rise and will be the next big thing?

There are so many bursting through at present within Nu Communicate and the list would be endless. Rich Smith has some amazing music in the pipeline but also a lot of the rising producers taken on at Nu Communicate

Let's talk collaborations for the future: Who would you like to collaborate with?

I'm open to collab with anyone really. Time is always a factor but I’m always open to suggestions and working with anybody who has the same kind of passion for music that I do.

How long does it normally take for you to select tracks for the next gig?

To be honest, I get inundated with new material everyday. I don't ever plan my tracks. I go with the flow of the crowd at events and what gets the best reaction. Feeding off the crowd sets me up for the night!

Would there be any other classics that you would like to remix or do you prefer to make remixes of new tracks?

Good question. There are so many amazing classic tracks, you have to be very careful when remixing a classic I think, as sometimes an amazing classic can just be ruined. Music for me is a passion as you know, if it be a classic or a new project, I'm open for anything.

You have been DJing for a very long time already and during the years you played in lots of famous clubs. Do you have a favourite club or venue that you just love to play at?

All venues are amazing now days. My heart is always with PaSSion at the Emporium, Coalville being a midlands lad but, any event I'm part of always means a lot to me.

You are going to play for Futurity the 6th October alongside with Dan Stone, what people can expect from your set?

It’s a massive joy to be invited back again for Futurity, it's my 3rd time and I cant wait. People that follow my music know I'm all for uplifting euphoric trance, so expect to have the hairs on the back of your neck and on your arms stand on edge. That real goose bump feeling.

What are your goals for the rest of this year?

I take each year as it comes. I intend to support Rich Smith as much as I can with NUCR DiGITAL as Rich is a producer busting with talent, so watch this space.

Once again, I'd like to thank all those that take time to share their support in what I do and look forward to being back in London again.

Many thanks!
