Update: We drank the first batch on NYE.

I can report it was lush.

The second bottle should be better after a whole year.

Nom!

We had some of my Ma's home made gin & vodka based drink on NYE too.

Dum dum dadum dum dum dum dum

We made Xmas Pud Vodka this year.

People told us we should sell it.

It was awesomely good.

I think it is fair to say that everyone on the Internet is annoying.

I tasted the sloes... Yuck

Maybe they were over ripe or whatever but they tasted rank.

haha sloes are so astringent your mouth must have been dry for hours.

sloe gin/vodka is delishus as a long drink with ice with your usual mixer or praps prosecco Yum ! or even flavoured water - pear/elderflower.

damsons are easier to pick and a bit sweeter, but the sloes with their bite have won hands down for my 2011 vintage, just wish i could make enough of the stuff.

And I did.

Good year for berries and sloes.

Got 7 bottles going, both gin and vodka.

thats a few quids worth just sitting around in a jar!

big winner for me this year and taste suprise was plum gin. truly amazing, tbf the vodka version was good, but the gin really worked; and i'm no fan of gin. i've got a source and will be making much more plum gin next year

as i was idle with regards to picking, my sloe vodka wont be ready for a bit yet, but i've got plenty from previous years to see me thru the festive season.

blackberry and apple vodka is also worth a mention *hic*
