Does anyone really believe anything this cunt says anymore? Even the far right must be getting bored of his inconsistency.
This is one of the things he has been consistent about.
As for the rest, it seems I need to
I thought Trump would be inward looking "making 'merika grate again" whereas Clinton was the hawk who'd be sticking her nose into every foreign war going.
Seems Trump couldn't resist diverting attention from woes at home by getting stuck into Afghanistan.
Latex Zebra Yeah, something is probably happening somewhere.

Mate. You didn't genuinely believe that this utter pillock would be anything other than the car crash he is?
Everything about his campaigning showed this. I was genuinely amazed he won even with Hilary being so disliked.
Oh and Afghanistan is just his new deflector as North Korea have stopped posturing.

Does this mean he is done with Syria then?

I wasn't expecting a principled leader like Obama or a charismatic leader like JFK but I've been amazed at quite how incompetent Trump is turning out to be.
My best hope was his presidency would go the same way as Ronald Reagan - nobody could believe it when he was elected, but he turned into a good leader because he knew his limitations and combined his public facing strengths with clever minds to develop and drive policy.
Intially, I presumed Hilary would walk it, there didn't seem to be any contest. But as I looked at American discussions and comments I realised she was widely disliked, and for a load of reasons. My turning point in who I felt would be best for the world came when I learned she has actively supported every war the US has been involved with for decades. The thought of her pushing buttons is scary.
Trump discovered that sabre rattling with Kim and NK diverted public and world attention but that seems to have returned back to him in recent weeks with the alt-right/kkk stuff so I think he's looking for new diversions.

How many countries are there
I think you mean how many countries are there that he can threaten in some sort of way?

I had no such faith. His inability to articulate anything during campaigning was horrifying. But he rabble roused and said exactly what the working classes wanted to hear... That they believed him is as mad as he is.
The more he goes on, like his Phoenix Rally the other day, I am genuinely convinced he is not all there. He certainly shouldn't be in charge of any large military.

I had hope but not faith, although I still wonder where we'd be if Clinton had got in

Opted for ratings over people in the eye of a literal storm...
He said:
“In the middle of a hurricane, even though it was a Friday evening, I assumed the ratings would be far higher than they would be normally. You know, the hurricane was just starting.”
