Diving into the EL-EL archives once more, we have a fresh look at Into The Dawn by Accadia. Released in 2001, this one featured mixes from James Holden and Ashtrax, along with Accadia's own club mix and the ambient respray.
Accadia is Michael Woods, Warrior himself and remixer of D.E.V.I.L. by 666. Nowadays, he produces as Out Of Office who, in 2009, had a hit with I Love U Baby, a re-release of The Original's house hit. In 2001, he moved onto EL-EL and released two tracks; Into The Dawn and 2002's Blind Visions. Into The Dawn was first.
James Holden's widescreen mix opens the set and follows up from his own "Horizons" track on Silver Planet. At 11:39, it was no short journey. In fact, it was a colossus of epic proportions. It travelled a vast landscape with a Silver Planet rising above the horizon. I got a Holden joke in there. Accadia's own Ambient Mix follows suit and follows on from Woods' own chill mixes of Madagascar and Cafe del Mar with another typically widescreen mix.
Ashtrax's mix was the third mix on the package and is, again, an epic mix at 10:28. And finally, Accadia drops another mix in the form of the Club Mix. At 11:08, its another epic. For me though, its Accadia's ambient mix that intrigues me with its epic poise and texture.
