» Breath : A Portal To Stillness

Reviewed by Pete M / Submitted 12-09-22 21:58

Label: Desert Trax
Format: Digital
Genre: Ambient

An essence of calm descends as we enter the world of Breath again. Like the ReGen Ambient Remixes, this edition is a strictly beatless affair, far away from the previous two Breath Reimagined albums. A remix album, then, for reflection.

The original album is a downtempo psychedeiic experience with fresh interpretations following on two remix albums but now, we have the fourth, and final, edition; an ambient remix edition that blurs the boundary between trance and stillness while still maintaining the downtempo ambience of the original.

Reduxes from Liquid Bloom, Erothyme, Hipnotic Earth and Tylepathy join the cast as Breath enters the realm of stillness and contemplation; an album of ambient sparkles devoid of beats but with plenty of uplift.

Despite the lack of beats, this edition will surprise and entice with its eerieness and spacious remixes that will calm the mind and soothe the soul. Cool as hell.
