I miss Bagleys.

I wasn't overly keen on Bagleys, the search was very intrusive and one female friend was groped on the way in so I vowed not to return.
Went back in 2001 or 2002 and it was much better, but that Skara-esque experience lost a customer for a good while.

The security at Bagleys were always miles worse than the ministry of skaramanga's security.

Yeah, Bagleys security were the worst I ever encountered. I remember getting dragged off the dancefloor and into a dark corridor and threatened by them once. They thought I was dealing but in fact had absolutely nothing, not even Percy. No apology. And had my balls groped on the way in on a couple of occasions. Other people that actually were found with stuff on them got badly beaten, in fact I know one guy who got hospitalised. And of course it was implied that whatever they confiscated they gave to their people on the dancefloor to sell on their behalf.
that kind of stressful experience meant I also gave the place a wide berth for a while as well.
They knew that the security were out of control, loads of events started writing 'new friendlier security' on their fliers, people would get there and find it was still the same firm!
Funny though because there are a few people out there who really rate Bagleys as being one of the most free n' easy, hedonistic venues ever. Maybe it was if you were from the same part of town as the doormen they were nicer to you? But anyway, I don't think I ever had a properly good night in that place, there was always something sketchy happening to ruin it.

Everything you just said is true, I got dragged out of the toilet and had a mini bottle of eau de toilette confiscated off me in the bathroom once, and got threatened at the same time too @ Bagley's; not sure what the f**k they thought it was, hopefully one of the c**ts drank it and poisoned himself
Still, was a good club, I've had the same, if not worse, when out as just a clubber at Camden Palace.

Agreed, Bagleys security were the worst but it was SUCH a fucking great club!
Suffering from a small case of mood poisoning, must be something I hate.
