But beef & mutton are eaten. How many people do you know who eats chinchilla or mink?

Loads of people in South America. Where a lot of them are bred. Next question?

Leather is animal hide. So an animal has been skinned to make it. Sit down, girl.

I know a Buddhist who justifies wearing leather belts because he recons the animal wouldn't have been slaughtered for the hide, it is just a byproduct.
Personally I think he has taken far too many drugs and it has addled his brain, but each to their own hey.

I've got chickens in my back yard

He's right though. Leather is a byproduct of the meat industry.

I made a vegan give up her bright red lipstick because the colour (used to) come from crushed insects Big grin

Doubt you'll find many south Americans wearing a chinchilla coat. They couldn't afford it. It's the Jay-Z & Jay-Los of this world that think it's a great look being head to toe in fur.

What do you think if the animal died of natural causes and is then skinned? Is that OK?

Natural causes, then yes. I'm a donor, so they can take everything.

I'm a donor but doubt any of my organs will be able to be used again, done too much damage over the years

That has crossed my mind too, esp the liver. Lungs should be grand as I've never smoked. It's amazing what they can use nowadays.
