My two cents on the pram thing: it's worth spending a bit of money on the first one (not a grand but a few hundred quid) because it will make a huge difference to the quality and ease of any trips you make. Go for one that has the full kit, ie one that has car seats, a flat bed option, and seating options, that folds easily and fits into a space in both your house and your car, also that has good bag storage options, as you will be taking quite a bit of stuff out with you.
When the kids is up and walking well, sell it off and get a cheap as chips buggy. The one Thomas has is £20, and does the job perfectly. Its so light I can carry him and the buggy up and down stairs easily, and if I go somewhere with a buggy park, I'm not worried someones going to run off with it, or if they do, I can afford a new one no problems.
Its weird talking about this stuff on here.

Yip, got one of those, for free, from a friend who hardly used it as she didnt really leave the house that much in the early stages. It was literally, brand new and cost her £800. We have steralised it and its good to go

Had a course on contract law today. Ha, talk of equality. If a woman is on maternity leave and is down as one of a group of people on the list to get made redundant then if there is one job on offer they have to offer her thee job
But if its a man on paternity leave
He's not protected
