It's getting to that time of the month again when I realise that the next Ohmparty is nearly upon us and I've done absolutely f*ck all to prepare for it.
That means it's time to start spewing drivel into another thread in the hopes that it attracts people down there, even if it is only people from the local lunatic asylum coming to take me away (hey, it's all extra people through the door)
On the subject of lunatic asylums, it's going to be a special one as we're planning on installing bubble wrap covering on the low beams. We're hoping this will limit the concussions, especially for the taller people. It should also have that nice padded wall effect that should give people that "locked up in the nut house" kind of feeling.
I know that one of our major selling points in the past has been the opportunities for concussion, and for those who come down there for that please ask any member of the ohm crew who'll all be happy to improvise some way of hurting you.
I should say something about the music now I guess, starting off we'll have some trance from Baboon, who'll be making his debut appearance on the decks. Following on from that we'll have some of Daegal Brains trademark trancey breaks which mark him out as one of the most original dj's on the scene.
Then we have Tania Mann who has been exploding onto the scene over the last month with sets at spangulation, chemical reaction and some other places I can't remember following on from what was one of the best demos I've ever received certainly. She'll be giving us some uplifting trance, leading us in nicely to Ohm & Spangulation stalwart Steve Hitch to take things that little bit muckier.
Then we have all round start Carl Nicholson fresh from a string of record signings to take it up to some harder trance, all in readiness for Sharon B to finish us and the party off with some driving uplifting hard trance.
For those who don't know, it's at the st christopher's inn, 121 borough high street, 10pm-4am, nearest tube london bridge and most importantly of all it's FREE!
And last but not least it is of course Baboon's 30th birthday bash, so I'm sure there'll be a few HFers who'd like to come and join us and him in celebrating that.
