On to Perfecto's more fluorescent sidearm now and the new one from Special M. This is La La Land and, while it edges a little on the commercial side, its still very much Fluoro. The reason why will become clear.
While this is typical Fluoro flare, with its tight production, there's a vocal on it. That's the commercial side I was referring to. But, for me at least, it doesn't detract from the fact that La La Land is still anthemic. In fact, the vocal sorta helps it along; adding to the initial build-up to the beat section and the tight bass-line. It was just weird to hear the vocal initially but as I played it more and more, it clicked.
There are two mixes on offer here; the Original, which is an edit, and the Extended, which is what I'm focusing on. The original is more for radio but if you want a longer, clubbier, mix, stick with the Extended.
