Aldous vs. BINARY Live feat. Bukhu

» Peace To Ukraine

Reviewed by Pete M / Submitted 18-10-22 11:29

Label: Alter Ego Progressive
Format: Digital
Genre: Progressive Trance

Alter Ego Progressive has joined forces with the Ukrainian Red Cross to raise money for humanitarian efforts in the Ukraine following the invasion of the country by Russia. This is by Aldous, BINARY Live and Bukhu and it contains a remix by Mobil. All proceeds from this release will go to the Ukrainian Red Cross.

The track itself is dark and proggy with powerful drums and bass-lines. Because its on the Progressive arm, it is slow-building but has power in abundance. It does show the Ukraine that they are not alone in their struggle. We all hope for a peaceful end to the conflict. A melancholic vibe comes through in the Original Mix with eerie vocals cascading around the beat section. Its certainly powerful and poignant.

Mobil provides a more uplifting, but still dark, remix. For me, this is my favourite mix. It is more for uplifting floors with the tempo increased slightly but while it is uplifting, it is still, at its core, progressive. I like the ambience that comes with this remix. A radio edit is also included.

A poignant but positive release here on AE Progressive then. For a good cause. As mentioned earlier, all proceeds go to the Ukrainian Red Cross.
