Abode has an occasional Sunday residency at the 338 and do a couple of bigger events a year like Tobacco Dock/Printworks.I have been going to this for about five years, over that time the crowd has changed some what. When I first went it was an older more urban crowd, nowdays it is young essexy types (think in terms of a young Clockwork Orange crowd)I don't go to the 338 events anymore, these sell out real fast, but I still go to the one off big events.Last year they started a Sunday festival at Finsbury Park on the day after Hospitality. This event sells out despite being on a Sunday late September.
I went this year again and quite like the vibe,it has four or five tents all largely playing a version of Tech House. The main stage is covered, which is good if it rains, like yesterday. They do put some effort into the production which went into overdrive for the headliner Groove Amarda, multi coloured lazers,LED screens, fire blasters and powerful smoke machines etc.Steve Lawler hosted a tent (this is a DJ that has managed to reinvent himself a number of times over the years,I used to go to his residency at the End)which was packed the whole time and Danny Howard hosted another Big Top.Also Lovejuice, which is another favourite with young Essex ane LWE had their warehouse setup.
This is quite a nice little festival to finish the season.
