Go on, why is a second hand pram so wrong?

Yes, I get the newborn needing new stuff thing. It's a 'clean' thing.

But a grand for a pram?

Cos its his first baby for f**ks sake. He wants to spend cash and make a fuss. Just because he doesn't want second hand, doesn't make him an upstart, I didn't either. Its potentially a one and only time.

Get over yourself.

Babies throw up on stuff. Why on earth folk don't spend the least they can on grows is a mystery.

You can even buy second hand Diesel stuff for babies to puke on, on ebay, for pennies.

It's all about being seen to spend, and thinking "I've spent new, I must be a better parent".

No, you're a mug.

Nobody cares, or notices, bar you.

Oh do shut up. Just because you will never earn a decent wedge and be able to afford nice things doesn't mean that those who do work hard for a living shouldn't.

Parenting advice from a guy who doesn't work and spends his JSA on plastic jackets on eBay.
