On Saturday the 15th of September Halo Promo present the third to last party in our highly successful residency at the Cross, before the club closes this new years eve.
This time round, special guest DJ and producer Miss Jools takes to the decks in the main room. Her releases under her production guise “Sleepertheif” such as “Dwarfs Revenge” occupy a position at the cutting edge of underground house in London and it’s a pleasure to welcome her to Halo for the first time. Signed to the massively credible Berlin based label Mobillee, Jools has played all over the world this year from DC10 in Ibiza to Russia and back to London. Continuing Halo’s commitment to booking producers and not just DJs, Miss Jools promises to bring a deep, chugging electronic vide on Saturday the 15th. Alongside her, we also have some of our very best resident and guest DJs who form the driving force of our nights. This party features Tom Roberts, Chris Hartnett, Mat Morgan, Aaron-I-Am and Dan styles, thus completing an awesome line up of first class minimal, techno and deep house in room one!
The middle arch continues its relentless domination of the jacking house and electro scene in London with the awesome Red Eleven (Olli Collins and James Jackson), Jay Da Funk and Charlie Lang taking to the decks. Another major highlight is the return of Danny Kong, Antonio Vendome and Fever. These guys are amazing DJs and Fever is a phenomenal scratch DJ. We are talking DMC world championship standards here, the only reason he has not won it is because instead of entering competitions he teaches kids to DJ and scratch. This absolutely has to be seen!
The high energy vibe of this room stands in contrast to the more underground feel of the other and has one of the best atmospheres of any dance floors in London. If you love to dance till you drop, this is definitely the room for you. The middle arch also features the incredible Tom Caris on electric lead guitar. Tom is one of the most talented musicians about. Winner of the Perrier Award and numerous other accolades this is truly one not to miss. Joining Tom, the room also features Pinball Percussion from Russ Tarley Jnr another musician of the very highest calibre.
The Soulful room continues to be one of the biggest success stories of the year. This room is a feast of funky house and soulful beats and provides the perfect balance to the other rooms, all against the back drop of smooth sax from Kevin Reynolds. Residents Jason Sears and Loud Minority continue to lead the way with a serious serving of classics and anthems and this month we have a very special cameo from Tom Roberts bringing an upfront set of soulful beats to the third room. Check it out for yourself on the 15th and see what all the fuss is about.
The Grotto continues to push a selection of serious music for aficionados with DJ Simon Barr playing another 8 hour mix marathon of Viking Disco, Electronica, drop beat and much more. This is a real back room treat for those serious about their sound.
Don’t forget, we will also be holding our free tech terrace alfresco after party in the garden of the Cross which has fast gained cult status, with DJ Johnny Blanco and Guests.
