the only decent "hard" version is the paul janes one. the rest, as awesome as they are, i just couldn't play in a set

hmm, I cant understand that.
I saw Rob Tissera play the K-Series one and the place errupted. I wanted to hate it when it came on, by the end I loved it. The chunkier bassline makes it sound so much newer.
The Paul Janes one is good, but offers little over the original. In fact I would play the original out instead of the Paul Janes one.
Still liking your remix, perhaps not as much now that it's got that little bit harder. I preferred it's sound before. It's cracking work though and I'd be more than pleased hearing it out.
Just goes to show how hugely ahead of it's time that tune was.
When I think back to the sort of music I was listening to in 1994, tunes like Pizzaman - Sex on the streets, De'Lacy - Hideaway, Living Joy - Dreamer etc etc, if someone had played me Lost In Love I wouldn't have known what to do with it!
