Having just seen this I'm actually quite disgusted at the ignorance and attitude of some people.
Sort your fucking shit out, any charitable arrangement for a direct, indirect friend, or even someone you don't even know does not deserve those sorts of comments.
Given the circumstances it's more directly effective and helpful to the family and surrogate friends and family of Paul to run this charitable fundraiser than any donation you could ever give to some cunt face Bono or Geldof charity in return for a cuddly toy or bio of some kid you just adopted through Irish oxfam.
If you don't know Paul, it's a shame you didn't, he's a fantastic person.
His contributions to the music scenes / communities over the years more than likely led to a significant amount of you actually finding this website and community through word of mouth or whatever.
Before you stop and (short sightedly) slag off the 'irresponsibility' of throwing a rave while he fights for his life try to remember although those of you who have commented in such ways probably do so from some moral high ground having matured out of your pilled up days in camden palace, we were all 'ravers' / 'clubbers' and excessive partiers at one point.
I look back on myself a decade ago and I can't imagine being off my face anymore, to criticise someone's family that's merely advertising an event to help a friend and then receive such hypocritical comments is ironic, malicious and out and out right fucking wrong, you should be ashamed of yourselves.
I hope the party goes well, I won't be able to make it, but I'm sure it'll achieve a reminder of the support for JP.
