BELOW party people love going all out, taking over streets, car parks and warehouses, and so it’s no massive surprise they have another series of huge events planned. These will be in association with Sven Vath’s Cocoon, and will take place a number of times over the next year. The first one will be on 3rd June 2012, on the streets of Birmingham, and will go under the title of Cocoon on the Street with Raresh, Dinky, Sascha Dive, DJ W!ld and Adam Shelton all playing.
All this will also take place across the same weekend as leading underground promotion, Below, turns 7 years old and takes the Rainbow Courtyard back to being just that – an open space for partying with natural brick work, plants and natural light...with Bloody Mary, Jordan Peak, Alex Arnout, Jane Fitz, Subb-An, Adam Shelton, Tristan da Cunha, Frenchy, Tom Craven and James Cotterill all playing.
Cocoon Heroes is the name of the part held each week out at Amnesia, in Ibiza, and surely the same sort of madness will go down here with wild fireworks, mad dancers, clowns, colours and all sorts of extra promotion in true Cocoon style.
The music will come from Romanian Raresh with his more stripped back minimal grooves, Dinky who also favours stripped back sounds and has produced for labels like Visionquest and Perlon, where Sascha Dive goes super deep with his elongated grooves. Finally, Frenchman DJ W!ld brinks some jacking tech house edge with his amped up style, and Birmingham champion Adam Shelton complete the line-up.
