The third trip into EL-EL's archives unearths Blind Visions by Accadia, the follow-up to Into The Dawn. This was released way back in 2002, a year after ITD. Neptune Project did a stomping Third Eye remap of this tune which was included on the reissue of the single, along with new mixes. But here, we're looking at the original release.
Following the release of Into The Dawn, which was an epic undertaking by the likes of James Holden, Accadia and Astrax, Blind Visions is more benign but no less EL-EL. Featuring remixes from Yahel, Accadia, Pitch & Sulfur and the aforementioned Neptune Project, Blind Visions is something of an EL-EL staple. Plus, the track was featured on the previous Exhibition album, the label's Gothic-influenced trance/progressive compilation series. While the Third Eye remix isn't on the original single, I'm including it on the list.
Yahel and Harry Peat cover the first two remixes and they are as anthemic as you'd expect. Accadia pops up with a club mix and an ambient respray, as with In The Dawn. These two mixes aren't as expansive as the previous single's but they're no less important. Pitch & Sulfur pitch in with the Visions Of Accadia rerub which caused a stir amongst the regular heads back in the day.
Blind Visions, and its predecessor, still sounds fresh in 2023. I have to remind you that the Third Eye remix is NOT on this release but IS on the 2012 release with brand new mixes of Into The Dawn.
