India gets represented on Perceptive's Pure imprint now with "Area 51" by Snow Flakes & Rishabh Joshi. This one houses a remix by Tucandeo.
The Original Mix is a feisty progressive number with a melodic body and a chilled atmosphere at its core. Saying that though, there's also a hip-swinging poise to it; not unlike the previous Perceptive Pure releases. THse guys last appeared on Miroslav Vrlik's "Twenty Two". Here, they've dropped a fresh-sounding melodic house/trance cut that is both futuristic and cutting edge. Cool release.
Tucandeo takes up the mantle for the remix and here, the tempo increases slightly but the melodic energy stays intact. Nice use of subtle synths and a nice grunty riff takes pride of place in a remix that is very nice to listen to. Its slightly unstable as well which gives it a bit more flavour; a bit more substance. Mind you, its the Original that wins it for me.
