Chris Corrigan appears again on Nu Depth. Again? Yep. This time with Edge Of Heaven which features remixes from Right Face and Ross Angerson. Angerson? Anderson. That mistake is funny so I'll leave it in.
Edge Of Heaven is what you'd expect from Nu Depth. No-nonsense trance which has been gathering a lot of support from the likes of Manuel Le Saux, Dan Stone and Paul Trainer. And Danny Powers, owner of Nu Depth too, I'd expect. Its pretty sweet and lovingly produced trance this; with a potent euphoric beat and a heart-felt front riff and nice solid texture to it. Sweeeeet.
With the remixes, Right Face pops up with a dangerously addictive full-on assault. Taking the elements of the Original and wrapping them around a solidly-built body; not losing its potency or indeed its swagger. After work on Infrasonic and Enhanced, its nice to see Right Face on Nu Depth; doing what they do best.
After an EP appearance on Nu Depth's digital offshoot, Ross Anderson delivers the final remix and its a killer. Full of power and energy, not unlike the thunderstorms that battered parts of the UK yesterday. Come to think of it, I think Danny was playing this yesterday. In fact, I think it was at the time that Newcastle was hit by that massive storm. Hmmm. Coincidence? Probably not but in all seriousness, this remix is a tough and energetic mix that will probably, rightly so, be picked up by the big names in trance.
