Miroslav Vrlik

» See The Sun / Outside

Reviewed by Pete M / Submitted 10-05-12 17:03

Label: Inov8 Recordings
Format: Digital
Genre: Trance / Progressive

Slovakian producer Miroslav Vrlik takes a break from Perceptive and its red Deep arm and conjures up a slice of epic trance on Alter Ego's Inov8 imprint. This one features a remix from Pierre In The Air and a bonus remix in the form of Outside, remixed by Purple Stories.

After completing a really good bootleg of The Last Time by The Thrillseekers, Miroslav has been busy crafting some epic trance releases for a variety of labels; not least Perceptive, Perceptive Deep and the housier Perceptive Pure. This one is quite well put-together and is quite strong in tone and structure. Its the Pierre In The Air mix that is getting the most plays round mine; a sleek, proglifting, remix that isn't ominous at all but sounds very accessible...just the way I like my proglifters.

Purple Stories provide the final remix; not of the title track but a different one. Outside is the B-side to the release and its been given a lick of paint; being turned into a slinky, proggy, behemoth. That said though, its not one hundred miles away from the original of See The Sun but is calmer and is more serene. A nice end track to the package with seriously uplifting synths and a good kick.
