From Wales, this is Open Reach, a new venture, and it opens with an EP from Giuseppe Sullano, a name not known to many, but he's been present in other genres; mainly hard trance.
On this one, he drops three trance tracks. The opener is Ascension, a cool and funky track with a laid-back, mid-tempo, groove to it. From the outset, it is well engineered and well made with a nice synth riff and groovy bassline. It may be a bit slow for sets but you can pitch it up.
With Bounce, he employs a bouncy atmosphere; the tempo is sped up slightly but the groove of Ascension is there as well as an echoed riff. Its probably better than the first track but only slightly, mind you.
Kathy's Song is the money shot for me. Adopting a classic-sounding atmosphere, Giuseppe fires off a tough and potent, but still at a comfortable speed, tune that might well end up getting the most plays of the three. Mind you, give the other two a try too.
