» The 17th Of October

Label: Diverted Music
Format: Digital
Genre: Trance

This is the intriguingly titled "The 17th Of October" by Danish trancer Dreamy. It surfaces on the Diverted imprint and contains remixes from Cosmic Heaven, Johan Eckman and Ahmed Romel.

Uplifting emotion is the name of the game here and this track follows Reminded Childhood on Neverending Story. It is full-bodied and euphoric; not unlike the Diverted remit really. What'd you expect with TrancEye helming the A&R? In that respect, The 17th Of October is a powerful uplifter with wonderful arps and a bizarre vocal edit.

The remixes are just as potent; my favourite being the Johan Eckman mix. Taking the original by the scruff of the neck, he rams what can only be described as a super-charged rocket up its bottom...as a consequence, ths track gains a new layer of strength and potency. Big? Anthemic? Check.

Ahmed Romel pops up with an energy-sapping re-rub. Its similar in strength to the Eckman mix but the tempo is faster and the energy has a slight acidic tone to it. Its just as anthemic as the previous mix; maybe more so.

With the Cosmic Heaven mix, you're getting another full-bodied, high strength, version. This one, however, is a bit more theatrical than the front-end but is no less anthemic and widescreen. A nice version to end the package on.
