Aaron Olson feat. Jamie D

» Moon And Moon

Label: Global State Recordings
Format: Digital
Genre: Tech Trance

From Canada, we have Aaron Olson's new release on the Global State imprint. This one features a remix from Ollie Jaye as well as the original mix and a dub mix.

Vocal tracks in this genre are often hit-and-miss affairs, as I'm always banging on about, so I'll obviously leave you to make the final judgement. Stylistically though, this is an uptempo, high energy, tune which features vocals from Jamie D. While the vocals, for me at least, are so-so, the production isn't. It has a hard edge to it; fairly unrelenting actually. Like all tracks of this ilk should be. As there are a number of mixes to choose from, you're spoiled for choice really.

My particular fave is the Dub Edit which shortens the track and strips away the vocal. Mind you, Ollie Jaye provides a tough Global State mix that thumps its way through 9 pulsating minutes. Cool mix. The radio edit of the track does exactly what it says on the tin. The Dark Tech mix is mechanised hard dance with a touch of rave about it.

This is a solid enough release with a blistering Ollie Jaye remix to boot. Smile Lovely!
