The apocalypse comes to Nu Depth! You can relax though as this particular apocalypse is uplifting. It still has a dark edge to it but thankfully not too much. Remixes come from Matt Skyer and Chris Corrigan.
This is Matt Davey's latest on Danny Powers' highly empowering Nu Depth Recordings imprint and while it has a banging exterior, it houses a light-edged, uplifting, interior. Feel-good trance for the impending apocalyptic landscape. The piano riff is very nice and emotional. In fact, the whole tune is pretty euphoric and just sounds gorgeous. The main riff is simple and easily recognisable. Nice stuff.
On to the remixes and Matt Skyer does his euphoric thang and speeds things up; cranking the tempo up a notch. He pretty much takes the tune by the scruff of the neck and takes it into highly energetic territory. This mix contains an eerie violin-like synth and even a classical music-like motif in the break. Powerful stuff indeed. Certainly when it kicks back in.
Chris Corrigan goes the other way on his remix. Although its still uplifting and euphoric, the energy is slightly darker but not too much. Okay, so I've maybe repeated myself there but its true. Anyway...Chris's mix is, well, euphoric and even has a vocal! Again, this is nice and uplifting and there's a nice sorta vibe to it. And I can't get enough of these big symphonic breakdowns. Bloody lovely! The big names should be all over this.
