Indian Minister’s Pakistan MDMA Claim

India’s state home minister RR Patil has accused Pakistan’s intelligence agency the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) of plotting . . . to destroy the cream of India’s youth’ by smuggling ‘rave drug’s into India, (DNAIndia.com: http://bit.ly/NAYgVT (
“The ISI is involved in drug trade and the money used from this trade used for terror funding,” the Home Minister said, in a speech justifying the recent wave of high profile police raids on parties in India.
“Moreover, young boys and girls caught in these raids are assets of the nation, but they are getting spoilt by these rave parties,” he added. (Asianage.com: http://bit.ly/Q7iooA )
His accusations struck a chord with revelations which emerged during South Africa’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission which heard how government scientists manufactured over 900 kilograms of pure MDMA to use for ‘riot control’ during the last days of apartheid (equivalent to 57 million- strong- doses).
MDMA scientist Johan Koekemoer told the Commission he was suspicious immediately of the genuine motives behind the plan.
"I did not believe ecstasy was a good incapacitant and I told my superiors that . . . ecstasy enhances interpersonal relationships,” he said.
“I told Dr Mijburgh [overall chief of Delta G] I did not want to kiss my enemy", he added. (Ecstasy.org)
