DJSA Records in association with HarderFaster.net, is running an open remix competition for tech & trance producers everywhere. Staged by UK based label DJSA Records, we're looking to search out some new talent in the industry,

The competition comprises of an openly available remix pack of Luke Warner & Mat Lock's release Deep Psychosis, which is now available to everyone at the hyperlink below. The Original Mix and Daniel Kandi Remix will be released on Monday 10th December, with a second release, to be titled "The Remixes", distributed in early February 2008. This will comprise not just one but two selected winning remixes from the competition, along with one other remix to be announced shortly.

We are looking for a wide range of entries for this release, and are keen to hear remixes spanning across the tech & trance genres. By this we mean that remixes revolving around uplifting trance, progressive trance, psy-trance, tech-trance, techno and more are very welcome and our aim is to expose the finest two alternatives to the Original Mix that we receive. As we always say there are no boundaries in what we are looking for, so grab the pack now and let us hear your take on the track.

Once the two winning mixes are selected we will promote these as always in the run up to release via the industry major players, as well as marketing the tracks for compilation inclusion and other ventures. Runner-up entries will not be without credit either, as these will also be specifically showcased on the Steve Anderson Trance Podcast - label boss Steve Anderson's hugely successful trance show which is regularly broadcast out to thousands of subscribers across the worldwide iTunes network.

Closing date for entries is Monday 7th January, and all remix submissions should be directed by download link to A&R Team members Adam Symbiosis and Steve Anderson at info@djsarecords.com. Download the remix pack below at your earliest convenience, and all the very best of luck with your entries. Many thanks in advance to everyone.

It's good.

But would you want to have your direction affected by what the original sounds like?

No No

Thought they'd only drop the main riffs and stuff in the remix pack.

Of course I want to hear the original... I'd like to know which bits work and how with it. Quite often there are bits in remix packs left out that are great, even if it's a percussion hook or something that can be redone in a different way.

What's in the pack? Is it all samples or midis as well?
