We’re proud to announce our 1st major event of 2006 and what a party we have planned for you !
After our 1st ever Boat Party last year we just couldn’t wait to get back out on the Thames, so we now present to you the 1st instalment of our 2006 Boat parties.
For this event we’ve asked ‘NORQ’ London’s Popular Breaks and Electro House promotion to join us and with their ‘filthy music for dirty minds’ music policy, they should offer the perfect alternative to Addiction’s pumping, uplifting and extremely euphoric Trance Sound.
The vessel of choice is The Golden Jubilee. Holding a maximum of 245 passengers and fitted with an absolutely devastating ‘Turbo Sound’ system, and with an outdoor area too she’s perfect for this Saturday Session ! We will also be bringing our own Crystal Clear Sound on board to provide you with not one but two areas of music !!
The Addiction DJs:
Phil Reynolds
Phil is undoubtedly one the biggest names on London’s Hard Dance Circuit ! The Original Frantic Resident and currently resident for Innovate and also co-owner of the massive label Impact Records, Phil has rocked every venue in London and beyond ! His high energy, uplifting Hard Trance Sound is perfect for Addiction and we’re really looking forward to his Addiction Debut.
Anthony Dean
Anthony is yet another DJ that we have wanted to book for a very long time. His many residencies include London’s biggest Trance party Knowwhere and his presence behind any set of decks just simply cannot be ignored ! However this isn’t just going to be your standard Anthony Dean set ! Joining Anthony and performing a LIVE PA alongside his DJ Set will we present STACE. For those of you that went to Knowwhere’s farewell event at Heaven in February you would have witnessed this PA and heard STACE’s angelic voice for yourselves. The pair have performed together several times now, and STACE’s vocals have also been featured on the massive Knowwhere Anthems… ‘Out There’ (co-written by Anthony Dean & Vapour Trail) and ‘Out of Knowwhere’ (co-written by Anthony Dean & Adam White)
M.D.A & Spherical
Addiction favourites M.D.A & Spherical should need no introduction. Having rocked our Thursday event’s, Addiction @ Deep Blue, and The Fridge’s Ice Box for us @ Innovate, we simply had to invite them back for this event. This pair have already established themselves as two of Hard Dance’s brightest new producers, and have recently remixed tracks for Hard Dance Superstars Phil York, and Steve Hill & Technikal. With their own releases signed to Tidy, Translation & Oblivion its no wonder they’ve been picked up by Oblivion Artist Management and are being tipped as the stars of tomorrow !
Olly Perris
Addiction Resident and Addiction Digital label manager Olly Perris should need no introduction either. Olly is former Nukleuz artist and in his short career at the tender age of only 21 has sold no less than 50,000 singles including the massive The Venue’ co-written with Ashley Sinclair and the immense ‘Transgression’ co-written with Mike Harris out on Addiction Digital. Representing Addiction on this voyage Olly will be pumping out some of the freshest Hard Dance tracks around, not too mention showcasing Addiction Digital’s future releases and back catalogue.
Phil Metcalfe & John Bentley
Earlier this year Addiction launched a DJ Competition called ‘In Search Of Trance’. These two extremely talented DJs were selected from over 100 received demo CDs to come and play for us in February at our infamous Thursday night parties. Only one of these DJs was supposed to be selected but as we simply could not choose between them, we have decided to declare them both joint winners, so come along and find out why we think these two will give the best of London’s Nu Breed Trance DJs a good run for their money !

Max Cooper
Max is currently one of the UK’s most in demand Breaks DJs ! Having played all over the world, and secured no less than four residencies at some of the countries leading club nights, we’re very, very privileged to have this ‘Mix Mag Future Hero’ playing at this event. Max is also extremely innovative blending tech, electro and break beat and for this set he will be performing on 4x 1210’s and 2x CDJ1000’s ! His hip hop style turntablism has been said to rival that of the legendary Q-Bert and we promise you that Max will not only have you all rocking but will also simply astound you with his technical ability !
NORQ Residents
Voodoobass has been capturing a lot of attention recently with his bassline-driven breaks and techno style. In a relatively short time as a club DJ his tough yet accessible sound has seen him share the decks with world-class talent across several genres including John B, D.A.V.E. the Drummer and Precision Cuts to name but a few. Joining Voodoobass, and with over a decade of experience in the business and sets in Ibiza and top venues like Pacha London under his belt, Chris Cee certainly knows how to move a crowd. Taking in the funkier side of breaks and a healthy dose of upfront electro-house, this man is guaranteed to kick-start any party and get asses wigglin' in no time flat. Last but by no means least, and fresh from rocking Cape Town (with more international gigs lined up), Wub is a lesson in how to do things right for the aspiring DJ. Covering all flavours of break beat from Filth to Funk, you're guaranteed an entertaining ride from start to finish!
