I'm getting to that stage, when I have a larger event coming up it can look a right mess. I'm debating if I should either invest in a small office or just board out my loft and get a PO Box number.
Like stamps, PO boxes are getting pretty pricey now.. I'm sure I started out paying about £50 a year back in 1996; these days it's well over £200, maybe approaching £300.
It's like council tax, but for businesses who don't have a vote in councils so can't complain.
Not sure how it's calculated but I've heard (of) quite a few retailers who are struggling - IIRC one was paying £8000 a year, plus rent, utilities, insurance, etc.
It's not surprising our high streets are being taken over by charity shops who only pay 20%, in fact I believe landlords often give cheaper rent to save this cost falling on them.

It would be worth it though to stop stallholders hand delivering mail. I don't know why this bugs me so much but it does, sometimes they knock and I stand on my doorstep chatting to them (I never invite them in).
That was my first thought, but I suspect these guys need stuff like filing cabinets too.
