So far I've only edited wedding videos as if they were music videos, almost. Meaning I find a good song that matches the vibe of the wedding/couple and then fit my clips to match the music and such. Usually I just go for the whole song as well, from start to finish, meaning my long videos are segmented by songs, with each song mostly having clips of a single part of the day (first song being some establishing and prep for the day, make up etc, second song being the ceremony, etc). I do fit in speeches/dialogue/etc as well, but that's not my point with this post.
I'm here, wondering how many of you do the same and how many of you have some other approach. For example do you arrange your clips first and then find a piece of music that fits? Do you sometimes only use a piece of a song to emphasize what's going on in the video?
