Woooooot! well done boys. Wonder what's going to happen to Strauss and KP over the coming weeks?

Great final test, such a pity we didn't have a 5 test series.

Back to best in the world, deservedly so IMO Big grin

A truly well deserved series victory from South Africa. England's batting has been well down. Having been at every game I have to say that in every department we have been below the level of South Africa. That being said, I feel that we have been well below our best from the very start.

Strauss needs a long, hard look at himself. His batting has been appalling for some time. For a long time his position has been justified by his successful captaincy, but the reality is that tactically he is pretty pedestrian. He is 35 now, and our next big series is against Australia. I think it is certainly time for him to relinquish the captaincy. If he was not captain he would have been dropped a long, long time ago.

As for KP. If the rumours concerning the contents of his texts are true, he should not be allowed back. I hope he does come back though. England are a far better side with him playing for them.

For me the standout players have been Amla, Morkel and Steyn, though in truth the Saffas have not had a single weak link. It's made for fantastic viewing, and they truly deserve the number one spot. Well played.

Life is far too important to be taken seriously

Concur with all of the above. We did show some spirit and fight in the middle/lower order but by and large our top end hasn't been up to scratch. Our bowlers also seemed a little below par, not sure what's going on there but we didn't do enough with the ball consistently. Broad in particular seems a little down on pace and hostility. Finn showed what can do when he had the chance.

Shame it wasn't a 5 test series like it should have been.

Pretty much all of that. I reckon strauss is on his wayout I just hope he doesn't quit before going to the subcontinent simply because I don't want another captain to quit after playing SA. Best team won though, without a doubt, We need to learn how to bat again, and attack rather than stifle and hope for a cock up.
