Please remember both Annabel and Puffer have attended Fire Club's/Twist's 'Westworld' training school.

And because of this they will back-up anything Steve has to say :yesmaster:

15 mins though is a bit stingy though.

Mmmwwah! I think if you look back it is you who logs onto this site for no other reason but slag off Twist/Fire/Fridge etc, the majority of my posts are mostly total gibberish frankly... Big grin

Would you like me to make nasty noise with the decks at the 414 at the start of the next Zoology then? Big grin
I don't like it because I don't think that giving one person a massive ego boost is worth putting many people though 15 minutes of bedroom dj hell.
It doesn't show the paying punters respect, it's just yet another commercial ploy at clubbers expense...

Yes, because the venue will be bursting from the seems at 8:30. Roll eyes (sarcastic)

I can hear the howls off derision from the ealry arrivals like "What the fuck was that about?"

Then doing the same 4 hours later when a big name drops a mix.

Of course it's a commercial ploy. As Steve's Mate. I thought you'd be well aversed to them by now.

At least they haven't said it will be the best 15 minute set by the best up and coming Dj in the best venue at the best party in the best place in Brixton ever.

??? I think its a good gesture personally. Gives someone the chance to play on one of the biggest set ups in London and gain valuable experience. I am sure people wont enter unless they know they can do the business. Its hardly a commerical ploy - the 15 mins is going to make NO difference to ticket sales as HHA always sell out.

Quite frankly, that's my whole aim in life, to slag off Twist/Fire/Fridge. It's what I live for.

Like 20mg of valium, a good moan about my pet hate relaxes me no end Thumbs up

well said my friend. We've been going out loads in London and met a lot of influential people just by making the effort to speak to them, things are beginning to happen for us now which is fantastic. If HHA coax just one talented, new up&coming DJ who might not have made the effort/had the confidence, that's got to be a good thing. I saw a similar thing recently where a new DJ was spotted by one of the Cyberkitten residents, got a gig at Darkness Calls, then we booked him for Lime, then he got booked for Cyberkitten. Before then he wasn't confident that he was good enough - this weekend he absolutely leathered it at CK.........If HHA can draw another new talent from London's diverse pool, maybe even do it every event, the scene can only get stronger! So let's all get to HHA early, check out whoever plays, who knows, we might all end up booking them. After all, remember some young DJ called Fergie?Eddie Halliwell?

No but they were plucked from obscurity by someone intelligent and forward thinking enough to want to push new talent and give them the opportunity to play out in a club. That is something that should be encouraged, not slated by other DJs and promoters.

I have seen one of my residents, Alex James, go on to achieve really good things on the funky house scene up north. Without wanting to get all emotional, I feel so proud every time I see him on a flyer, knowing that I helped in some way, by putting him on and giving him the chance to develop his own style, play to a crowd and feel good about what he does. So well done to Dickon and the HHA crew for this great initiative-let's all get behind them and the lucky git who gets the set.
