Yeah, we are going to stay in a cheap B&B and come back in the afternoon. Driving as well so is easier.

So who has been? I havent but will be going to Carl Cox and Richie Hawtin in October, shame the place closes at 4am, just means cheap BnB but have heard good things about the venue and the line ups they have for the rest of the year are fucking amazing, piss all over MoS IMO

Wicked venue.

That was fucking amazing!!! The venue smashes I would say almost every venue in London, for size, sound, layout... was very impressed with how quick all the queues went. To get in took 10 minutes, to hang our coats 10 minutes, getting drinks almost instantly. London is so far behind its actually quite worrying.

Only down side was the main room. Being so big and with the bulk of the line up playing there, was very busy and very, very hot. Found myself at the back by the entrances dancing as could actually dance and wasnt that hot.

Saw Hawtin play, guy is amazing and some dudes in room 3 who played one of the best minimal techno sets I have ever heard. Trying to find out who they were as they were ace and just the type of techno that I am loving at the moment.

Will I go again and do i recommend it to anyone else? Hell to the fuck yeah 9/10

Smile

My beloved Paul Kalkbrenner is playing there this Friday night but I am too broke to go d*mmit! I will have to try and check it out next year, it’s on my partying ‘to do’ list.

I love him, I can’t get enough of him! I saw him in May he came to London and played at the Kentish Town Forum. I seriously considered going to Manchester on my Tod to see him but it’s not feasible at the moment Crying (very sad)

I don’t think I have seen the live DVD (I can’t see it - firewall!). But I’ve watched Berlin Calling loads of times!

cool. The DVD is really well done. Some class tunes...but I feel like he hasn't changed his set in about 3 years.

Yeah you might be right there, I only discovered him last year. I think he has a new album coming out soon? His brother Fritz has some good tunes too.

He sings on Sky and Sand apparently. I've had a few PK tracks long awaitedly on my summer mixes but most of them he was playing back in 2008/9.
