Just destroyed my phone and pretty sure I can't claim on my current insurance.

Is it worth taking out a plan with 'Protect your bubble' and claiming in 6 weeks or can they check the phone hasn't been used for the intervening period and do me for fraud? Wink

fucknose, how come they won't pay out anyway? too many previous claims or what? I wouldn't consider paying ££ to insure a phone unless I was covered from fire/theft/accidental damage etc. As it stands I've not bothered paying it this year, the extra £10 or so a month really mounts up, I'd rather just set it aside in a savings account and then at the end of a year or so when I've not lost the phone there's a nice little bonus in there.

I'd suggest avoiding that sort of claim, you may be "saving" a few hundred quid but if you do get caught you could end up being blacklisted for insurance which will be a lot more of a hassle.

Think you like buying handsets outright, can't you get a second hand one and sell yours as not working?

What happened to your phone? "Destroyed" sounds picworthy.
