Why the hell do they just have the fitted sheet and a duvet and not another flat sheet to sleep under? I have never understood this.
Sleeping under just a duvet always results in you getting too hot so then you take it off and you are too cold.

We've got a winter duvet and a lighter summer duvet, and sheets we get out for especially warm nights. No point wasting time putting the sheet on for the other 51 weeks of the year.

But what about the past few months where the temperature has changed massively over a couple of days. Do you change the duvet each evening depending on the weather? Surely its more conveniant to have a sheet and a duvet all the time and then use them or not as need be?

Sleep with no covers but with pyjamas on.
Or I have a thin blanket on my bed, so I use in those rare nights when it's too hot.
I am fine at home as I use a sheet and a duvet.
I am more talking about when I stay at friends or in a hotel as they always have just a duvet that is way too hot when you have it over you and then when you take it off you are freezing.

Simple - stick your legs and arms out of the duvet. Like Macavity, I have a thin blanket at home for when duvets get too hot. I do heat up at night during my sleep so tend to sleep with the window open all the time, including in winter. I also sleep like a starfish with my arms and feet uncovered.

Most hotels I stay at do have a sheet and a duvet. Also my Mother does the sheet duvet things too. I never know what layer to sleep in at my mothers house. Her beds have about 10 layers (despite the fact it's a hot country)

Then your arms and legs get cold no?
