Mine too. Simon Cowell may as well just walk into the living rooms of everyone who watches this and rub horse shit in their faces. Actually, that might make a good tv programme Scratches Chin

It's not just Simon Cowell though.

Even as a self-confessed lover of trash TV, I've start to find TV largely unwatchable.

It's getting eaten up by it's own vapidity, formulaic formats and repeats. In effect most TV is dull and pointless.

I reckon the DJ Factor show will be about creating DJ Acts maybe with vocalists and MCs. It's need to the have a live element for it to work.

Thinking of it, the show might actually makes sense.

At the moment Xfactor is limited because contestants can only really sing tracks with accomodate a a normal human voice.

However in reality most 40 tracks have DJ producers behind them creating songs which are full of vocal and sound effects. This would allow them to do that - and therefore be more in tune which what is happening in modern music.

PS I'm not supporting SYCO's show, just trying to work out the thinking behind it.

"DJs are popular at the moment. I will make a tv show about them. Money will soon be forthcoming."

What really bothers me most about it is that he appears to be using it as a way of shoehorning Sinitta back onto our screens. I mean seriously, what the fuck has this woman done in the last 20 years aside from appearing on Simon Cowell's shows? I genuinely believe if it wasn't for him, she'd be living in a bin behind the Oxford street new-look by now, like some sort of dusky Oscar the grouch...

We're expecting this to be big, brash and probably quite funny. Is the world quite ready for an EDM reality show?!

No. To all the points.

It's OK watching a DJ play whilst enjoying the club environment but actually watching one on a stage play to judges sounds dull as anything. Especially as I doubt it will be scratching and tricks.

Also, in a time when at least 50% (just guessing) of DJs surely use Ableton or Tractor what are they judging on? Ability to use a bit of software, taste in music or how well they can make it look like they're mixing when the laptop is doing it for them.

I think it is fair to say that everyone on the Internet is annoying.

Like there's going to be any DJs playing trance or prog house.

They'll only pander to what's popular, so it'll probably be mostly urban.

What if.......you know.........they actually like that type of music?

Ill watch it for sure but I cant see there being that greater talent and like Dan says, a DJ playing to judges without a "club scene" is going to be pretty lame. Guess we just gotta wait and see what they come up with.
