HarderFaster DJs >> Dave Mac
Music Style:Uplifting hard trance. Mainly UK kinda stuff, but willing to play round with a bit of everything in my best.
Also a massively varied style of breaks, ranging from really party influenced stuff, through hip hop styleee cuts and with a touch of tech funky stuff thrown in for good measure.
All about being versatile, innit!
From:Good old Essex!
Date of birth:26th March 1984 (I'll be expecting brithday cards now!)
Residencies:123 Anything Goes and Puzzle Project
Management Agency:Managing myself! Smile
Bookings Contact:Me on 07960 424 860 or
No. of records:probably 2000, thats only a guess mind you
Started playing:Round about October 1996
All time top 3 tunes:HARDER STUFF
Butterfly Effect - By a couple of toe rags!
BK - Bad Ass (James Lawson mix)
Paul Van Dyk - For an Angel
Salt and Pepper - Push It (breaks mix to keep it credible!)
Awesome 3 - Don't Go
Evil 9 - Crooked
Worst DJing moment:Being asked to play at a small house party, only to turn up and find about 300 people all very much in to hip hop. My trancey style didn't go down too well!
Would most like to play:Anywhere there is an up for it crowd who want to party.
Most enjoyable set you've played:123, September 10th. first time playing all my own tunes and a set played mainly off cd's. With lots of new bits thrown in for good measure!
When you're not DJing you're:Normally shopping for mp3's!!
Favourite DJ:Stanton Warriors, they never stop pushing things forward, showing what can really be done when it comes to the art of decks and EFX, top stuff.
Favourite Venue:Camden Palace (RIP)
Favourite Promotion:123, silly crazy party boys and girls!
Favourite Producer:BK
James Lawson
Nick Sentience
Greg Brookman
Olly Perris
Nick Rowland
Krafty Kuts
Rennie Pilgrim
Favourite Label:Riot, Impact, Execute, Heat
DDB and Lucky 7
Biggest Influence:Paul Van Dyk, the way he progresses his sets is always awesome, although his style isn't the same as mine anymore, the way he works his sets always is immense. Shame whenever you see him there venue is so rammed you barely have room to fart!
Drink:Yes please!! (man i'm like SOOOO funny!)
Non-music pastime:Watching my beloved Tottenham (unfortunately they seem to lose most of the time lately!)
Words of wisdom:A dj is only as good as the record!!

Future Plans
Updated 29-08-05 19:08
having now ventured into the studio a few times I'm really enjoying making tracks, but looking to get more on the djing side as I have tended to neglect that recently which isn't a good thing. So hopefully there will be some Dave Mac sets again soon...[expand]
