Mark Van Linden dons his production alter ego and men of the moment Stoneface & Terminal produce a tough and uncompromising monster of a remix. Essential stuff.
2. STEVE CALLAGHAN & FRASE "THE ELEMENT" (IAN BETTS MIX) SIX:THIRTY
Support from Armin Van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Agnelli & Nelson amongst many others - just been voted tune of the week on Paul Kershaw's Galaxy FM show for the 3rd week running
3. HIVER & HAMMER "FUSION" (CARL B REMIX) PROFUSE
Carl B is making a name for himself with big room remixes and this is no exception - a great second release on the Somatic Sense sub-label.
4. ELUDE "PURGATORY" (IAN BETTS MIX) SIX:THIRTY
I first heard this track about 2 years ago and was smitten - has taken a while to see the light of day but well worth the wait if the reaction it got at Brixton Academy on NYE is anything to go by!
5. DJ PRECISION AND TERRY BONES "ANOTHER SITUATION" (ORIGINAL MIX) SOMATIC SENSE
The biggest, baddest, boldest breakdown around at the moment - avoids being overly cheesy but still bags and bags of energy, watch them go mental when it finaly kicks back in.
Paul Moelands is back in his Re:LOcate guise and treats us to yet another high class production. Aptly titled, the track rocks and rolls relentlessly from start to finish.
7. NU-NRG "CASINO" (BRISKY REMIX) MONSTER
The Italian super-duo return with a much more high octane affair. All three mixes are class but Bristol's finest trance export, Brisky, delivers a piledriver of a remix.
8. ATN "MISS A DAY" (MISJA'S A DAY REMIX) WHITE LABEL
Around a while ago on promo but never released, now returning with a new set of mixes including the sublime Misja Helsloot version. A classic timeless melody.
9. GREG DOWNEY "K.I.A." (ORIGINAL MIX) DISCOVER
Scream resident and all round legend Greg Downey takes a leaf out of PVD's production book and turns out a belter - melodic yet driving with a proper hands in the air break. Love it.
10. SOPHIE SUGAR "ISIS" (ALEX MORPH MIX 2) ETCR
One of the UK's finest and most consistent trance labels produce another cracker. The Alex Morph mixes display why he is a man in demand - driving energetic trance for those main room moments.
